Set among the oaks and hickories of High Falls State Park, our riverside campground offers a refined outdoor experience where every night under the stars feels like coming home.
Our Story
High Falls State Park River Campground sits on the banks of the Ocmulgee River, where the water moves slowly and the shade is deep. For generations, travelers and families have found refuge here—restoring the spirit before continuing west along the trail.
Today, we carry forward that tradition with thoughtfully maintained campsites, clean modern facilities, and a setting that asks only for your presence. Whether you arrive with a tent, an RV, or a camper trailer, the river will welcome you exactly as you are.
Accommodations
Every campsite is thoughtfully positioned among the hardwoods with easy access to the river and park amenities.

The Experience
High Falls State Park protects one of Georgia's most scenic stretches of the Ocmulgee River, and our campground sits at its quietest, most beautiful point. Each morning begins with mist rising off the water and the call of wood thrushes in the oak canopy above.
The park's 5,300-acre landscape offers fishing, kayaking, and hiking from your doorstep. In autumn, the bluffs blaze with color. In spring, wildflowers carpet the forest floor. And at night, the stars are impossibly bright—far from any streetlight.
There is a particular kind of peace to be found only where the river runs slow and the pines are old. High Falls understands this—and has built a place that honors it.
